The European SUP League 2026 consolidates its international impact after its first two events in Santa Pola and Taranto

The competition confirms strong growth across social media, web traffic and audiovisual distribution, strengthening its position as a new European benchmark circuit in stand up paddle.

The European SUP League 2026, certified by the European Surfing Federation, has closed the first stage of the season with very positive results following its first two events: the World SUP Festival Costa Blanca, held in Santa Pola, Spain, and the SUP Academy Taranto event, held in Italy.

These two competitions have confirmed the growing international interest in the league, both from a sporting and media perspective. The combination of live competition, digital content, audiovisual coverage and presence across television and OTT platforms has generated significant impact within the European stand up paddle ecosystem.

Social Media

On social media, the European SUP League exceeded one million Instagram views during the period between February and May, also generating more than 33,000 interactions. April, coinciding with the start of the competition calendar, recorded particularly strong growth, with more than 523,000 views, over 50,000 accounts reached and a significant increase in profile visits and new followers.

Web presence

The official website, europeansupleague.com, also showed positive performance during April, with more than 1,000 active users, almost 1,900 sessions, nearly 4,000 page views and visitors from 56 countries. The highest traffic peak took place during the World SUP Festival Costa Blanca, demonstrating that events directly activate interest in the circuit, its rankings, athletes, rules and upcoming competitions.

📡 The European SUP League is supported by a specialised distribution ecosystem that includes linear television, OTT platforms and international sports channels, with an estimated potential reach of more than 140 million households and devices through programmes and platforms linked to surfing, ocean sports and federated sport.

Looking ahead

Following Santa Pola and Taranto, the European SUP League confirms its ability to generate sporting, digital and media impact from the very beginning of the season. The response achieved during the first two events places the circuit in a strong position for growth throughout the rest of the year, with clear potential to expand its audience, strengthen its international presence and provide greater visibility for athletes, host venues, federations, sponsors and partners.

Looking ahead to the next events, the league will continue to strengthen a content strategy based on proximity to riders, real-time coverage, short-form audiovisual formats and storytelling that connects the competition with the international SUP community.
