After a consolidated and growing season, the ESL will hold its final event at the SUP Festival in Sesimbra (Portugal).
We are pleased to announce that the final event of the European SUP League 2025 will take place on November 15 and 16 as part of the SUP Festival of Sesimbra, organized in collaboration with the Surf Clube de Sesimbra. This event will serve as the official closing of the European circuit, after a season marked by international growth, high-level competition, and the integration of multiple race formats and disciplines.
Throughout the year, the European SUP League has visited renowned venues such as Benalmádena, Melilla, and Santa Pola, drawing an increasing number of athletes from various countries, diverse audiences, and a steadily growing organizational structure in terms of coherence, visibility, and professionalism.
Since its launch in April, the ESL has hosted technical, long-distance, and sprint races, integrated within some of the most important events on the European calendar, such as the Battle for Hercules, Festival Triple S, and the World SUP Festival Costa Blanca. Each stop has strengthened the founding mission of the league: to unify efforts, create opportunities for athletes of all ages and levels, and establish SUP as an accessible, sustainable, and forward-looking sport.
The final in Sesimbra – a Portuguese town with a rich maritime tradition and a privileged natural setting – also marks a step forward in expanding the league’s reach across European borders, reinforcing its transnational dimension.
The ESL 2025 will come to a close with a highly positive and promising outlook, not without its challenges, but with a shared sense of purpose among organizers, clubs, athletes, and institutions that the path taken has been solid, consistent, and full of potential.
