Blue Ewer and Esperanza Barreras are the winners of an exciting and crazy race in the of the Bord’Ocean SUP Days of the EuroTour 2023
Some wild performances went down today at #bordoceansupdays2023 race organized by @lesmarinsdelalune. The challenges offered by the unique river currents and the strategy taken determined everything.
On the men’s side, Blue Ewer took a wild gamble on the last lap, changing sides on the river, that yielded him an epic come from behind victory for his maiden win.
On the same group, Eri Tenorio 2ºnd and Ollie Houghton 3ºrd took the same line for an epic finish. Tough break for Michael Booth who led most of the race until the last lap and settled for 4th. On a very consistent race Connor Baxter who also led early on the race closed the Top5 in his first long distance in a while.

The women’s side was another roller coaster. Right from the start Esperanza Barreras looked set for another goal but it wasn’t without drama from the two competitors who almost stole the show by choosing a complete different line in the river.
In 2ºnd Duna Gordillo also was a bit lost in the river changing sides multiple times. In an impressive 3ºrd Iona Rivet nearly stole the show, being overtaken at the very end by the spanish duo. With the same strategy Fanny Tessier did a great performance for 4th. On a tight battle for the line Maricarmen Rivera closed the Top5 on another great performance.

The kid’s race in the morning were exciting and everyone enjoyed the come waters away from the strong currents of the main river.
